VerticalReach Coaching was founded by Corey Matthews, an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC) focused on elevating the leadership of executives, teams, and organizations. Corey is a 28-year veteran of the talent acquisition and development space, including helping to launch and scale two venture backed start-up executive search and staffing firms prior to launching his own search and staffing firm in 2006.
Corey’s interest in executive coaching was ignited in 2010 when he made the pivotal decision to embark on a year-long executive coaching program that included monthly group and one-on-one coaching sessions. The experience was transformational and put him on a path to becoming an executive coach himself. Corey holds master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership and Executive Coaching and Consultation from the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling at Concordia University Irvine. He is certified by Multi Health Systems, Inc. to administer the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 Leadership, Workplace, and Group Emotional Intelligence assessments.
